Based on the feedback received so far from the first proposed design for Riverbank Landing, two preliminary design options have evolved and will be the starting point to gather opinions from St. Albertan’s regarding the redesign for Riverbank Landing. We’ve kept the best and changed the things we heard were concerning.
What’s Changed?
Building Heights
Building heights have been greatly reduced
from 100 meters to a maximum of
50 meters.
Over All Density
The number of residential units has been reduce from
466 to a maximum ranging from 360 to 390 units.
A reduction has also been made to the amount of commercial space.
Traffic
With the reduction in residential units and commercial
space the traffic to and from Riverbank Landing will
be reduced.
Option A
Option “A” Highlights
-Unit count reduced to 360 to 399 from 466
-Tower heights reduced from 100 meters to 50 meters
-Condo building backing Oakmount reduced to 20 meters from 36
-Building 4 traffic access through Oakmount
-Commercial space reduced

Option B
Option “B” Highlights
-Unit count reduced to 360 to 399 from 466
-Least amount of building mass over 33 meters due to stepped design
-Maximum 50 meters.
-Reduced off site shadows from Option A
-Single family townhouses and 2 story building provide a transition between existing homes
-Largest setbacks from all adjacent properties
-Larger amount of green space than Option A
-Larger Village Square with river views than Option A
-Building 2 steps back from the river
-Most efficient construction schedule
